At almost 13 months old, Neve has been walking up a storm with the help of her crocodile walker. She looks like a little old lady pushing a cart at the grocery store. She adds books and toys onto the crocs' heads as she passes them, only to remove them later when she wants to play with them. She loves all of her books and can often be found reading (playing quietly in her room. She is seen in some of these pictures with her new puppy dog, although, Monkey is still the most favorite stuffed animal. She does find time to squeeze and cuddle with the others too. She is also seen here about to go to day care with her 2 choices of drinks. She usually takes a sip of milk then a swig of smoothie, then back to milk. She is growing like a weed and has new expressions every day.
Neve's first birthday started out with a bang. She had a fever of 101.3. Luckily, that day she was scheduled for her 12 month check-up. The doctor said she had a common virus going around that only caused fevers! Poor thing. To top that off, she has 3 molars coming in. We had a get-together that night with some of her friends and she was in bed by 8:00. The cake extravaganza had to wait. It wasn't until lunch time on Sunday that she was finally feeling up to snuff to have some cake. She wasn't as thrilled to smash into it as we had thought she might be. She had fun poking at it with a fork. Oh well, she was a good sport and played along with the ritual. Her doctor's appointment did reveal that she is now 29 1/2 inches long and 17 lbs. 14 ounces. To sum up her first 12 months of growth she gained 10 lbs 14 ounces and grew 9 1/2 inches. Imagine if she kept that up every year!
